Airsoft is a team-based recreational sport similar to paintball where players use realistic, low-impact replica equipment to complete objectives, compete in games, and test strategy, communication, and teamwork in a controlled and safe environment.

Yes, airsoft is safe when played correctly, and at Alamogordo Tactical Range it’s closely supervised with strict safety rules, required protective gear, and trained staff to ensure a controlled, fun environment for everyone. If you have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact us.

For airsoft at our arena, wear a long-sleeve shirt or hoodie, baggy jeans or cargo/camo pants, a baseball hat, closed-toe shoes, and a pair of gloves. If you bring your own eye protection it must be full-seal and ANSI Z87.1 rated (the rating is usually molded or stamped on the lenses or frame). Otherwise we have protective gear for rent.

Airsoft admission is $20 plus tax when you bring your own gear. If you need equipment, our $45 plus tax rental bundle includes admission, a rifle with ammo, full-face protection, and a vest. All players receive full-day access to the facility. We're grateful for our troops and first responders. We offer a discount on admission with proper ID.

Teams are broken up in to red vs blue. Armbands are provided. Most games last about 10 minutes and are followed by a 10 minute break.
Team Deathmatch (TDM)
Red vs Blue face off in a straightforward fight to eliminate each other. Each player gets 3–5 lives, and there’s no time limit—the round ends only when one team is completely wiped out. Respawn wisely, push aggressively, and work as a unit to outlast the enemy. Last team standing wins.
Domination
Red vs Blue race to control five capture points (labeled A - E) spread across the arena. Each point has a two-tone cube—flip it so your team’s color faces up to claim it. Cubes can be flipped back and forth at any time, so expect constant fights over hot zones. The round lasts 10 minutes, and players have unlimited lives. When time expires, the team holding the majority of points wins. If there’s a tie, the match enters overtime, and the first team to flip the majority instantly takes the victory.
Capture the Flag
Red vs Blue battle to steal the enemy’s flag and return it to their own respawn. Each team has unlimited lives, and the match is played over 3 rounds with no time limit—first team to secure the flag in a round wins that round. Strategy, teamwork, and quick thinking are key: defend your flag while launching daring raids into enemy territory. Whoever gets two out of three rounds wins.
Rush
Red vs Blue clash in a more challenging version of Capture the Flag. The field has five objective points, each has a red and blue bandana. Players must capture all five enemy bandanas and bring them back to their respawn to claim victory—but only one bandana can be carried at a time, so teamwork and coordination are crucial. There’s no time limit and unlimited lives, making for intense, strategic battles until one team captures them all.
Search & Destroy
Red vs Blue face off in a high-stakes mission. One team must plant and protect a prop bomb at one of five objective sites, while the other team is given a key to defuse it before detonation. The round lasts 10 minutes, and players have unlimited lives, keeping the action fast-paced and intense. Coordination, timing, and split-second decisions will determine which team emerges victorious.
Oddball
Red vs Blue battle for control of a single ball in the center of the arena. The team holding the ball when the 10-minute round ends wins—but there’s a twist: you can’t shoot while holding it. You can only get rid of it by being eliminated, passing to a teammate, or throwing it like a dodgeball to eliminate an enemy. Watch out—if an opponent catches your throw, you’re out. With unlimited lives, this mode is fast-paced, chaotic, and totally unpredictable.
Pick Up Sticks
Red vs Blue race to collect as many hidden sticks as possible within 10 minutes. The referee hides the sticks throughout the arena, and players must find them and return them to their spawn. Different colored sticks are worth different points. With unlimited lives, it sounds simple—but the opposing team will be hunting you just as hard. How many sticks can your team gather before time runs out?
King of the Hill
Red vs Blue fight for control of the central hill. Plant your team flag and defend it—the timer starts when a flag is planted, and your team must hold the hill for 10 consecutive minutes to claim victory. If the hill is lost, the timer stops and is reset when claimed again. Players have unlimited lives, but the action is fast-paced and brutal, so bring plenty of ammo you may be in for a serious fight.
